Today is the Last Day to file your taxes without paying a penalty.

You should be happy. If you are paying income taxes,

The combined impact of  joblessness and foreclosures is creating

You work and slave all year to scrape by and earn a living.

Look on the bright side… At least you still have a job.

Unemployment is still soaring. More than 17 million Americans
have already lost their paychecks. Another half-million or more
become unemployed each and every week.

The dream of a secure retirement is fading fast for many Americans.

Home equity, which was the largest source of retirement savings
for most Americans) has been wiped out. Massive losses in the stock
and bond markets have gutted millions of retirement accounts.

Homelessness is spreading. More than 6,000,000 middle-class families
have lost their homes to foreclosure. Homeless shelters are packed
and turning people away.

And worse of all, among them are the most blameless victims
- the children of newly homeless families.

According to a report released on March 10th of this year,
more than 1.5 million American children have lost the security
of sleeping in their own beds and bedrooms.

They have been forced to leave their cherished belongings behind.
1 out of 50 children are now homeless.

The “lucky” ones are imposing on family members, friends or
relatives and the less fortunate are sleeping in the family car
or finding themselves in crowded, noisy, often dangerous shelters.

Until now, these children knew only safety, comfort and security.
Now, through no fault of their own, that is all a dim memory.
There’s no doubt that these are dark days for America.

There’s no question that we are now experiencing the most severe
economic catastrophe in eight decades. Far worse conditions
are likely in the months ahead according to the news media.

According to the news media?

If you only heard the news media’s side of the story you’d think
that the sky was falling and that it’s time to get in your
underground bunkers and prepare for financial Armageddon.

With all the talk of 401k’s “shrinking or vanishing” and Wall Street
